Arms crossed across her chest, she stood staring out the window watching as the wind picked up and began blowing through the trees outside. The trees swayed blowing the leaves to show their undersides. The first sign of the storm she knew was due to roll through. It suited her mood. Though, she couldn't figure out why. Things had settled down since the events of the last week. A few civilians who were more seriously injured remained in the clinic, but the others had left to return to their lives. And it was time for her to return to the small semblance of a routine she had. As much as a shellan to a brother could.
The first drops of rain started to fall. As one of the raindrops hit the window, she raised her hand to trace it's path as it slid down the window.
The storm had arrived.

Just arriving from patrol, nothing doing in Caldie tonight so he was clean, stopped to watch her for a few minutes. Outlined by the lights around the Mansion, she looked as beautiful as the first time he'd seen her. Only now he could and would acknowledge that. Moving over to her, he came to a stop behind her. Smoothing his fingers along her lower back then kissed her head.
"Nice night." Didnt have news, for once, except he was utterly in love with Bella. "I'm going to shower."
Slow on letting go, he turned and went for the bathroom, closing the door behind himself before cleaning up.

She nodded and glanced back over her shoulder to watch as he went to go shower then turned back to the window. He was home early from patrol and from what she could tell, no wounds, torn clothes or signs of any lessor blood. All signs of an uneventful patrol which left her breathing a sigh of relief. "Yeah, nice night." Though, it was said it more to convince herself. And she wondered why that was. It was a nice night, despite the storm rolling in outside. Nalla was already in bed, her hellren home early and safe from patrol, the manse was somewhat quiet. Yet something was bothering her, had been for the past few days and she couldn't pinpoint what it was.
Lightning flashed outside followed by the rumble of thunder and she turned away from the window to go climb into bed. Maybe she was overly tired from the ciaos of the last week and needed to make up for lost sleep.

Came out of the bathroom still in a towel, as he went through the drawers in the closet glanced at her.
"Hey, you seem deep in. Need anything?" Continued to take out clothes, then started dressing.
Strange how storms rolled in then out. It'd rained for all of a minute during patrol. Rhage had bitched but then if he wasn't being admired that was biz as usual.
"Oh, V called. Told me one of the civilians we rescued was already in Mans records. Go figure, small town." Buttoned his leathers then sat and started cleaning his weapons

"No, I'm alright. I don't need anything." She said distractedly, her mind still trying to figure out her current mood. Realizing how that response sounded, she shook her head and moved to lay on her side, watching as he dressed. The view, something that could always bring a smile to her face as it did then. Till his next words sunk in and the funk she was trying hard to ignore was back. "What are the odds of that? Yeah, I guess small town or maybe bad luck."
She watched as he cleaned his weapons and took in his attire. "Going back out?"

Looked up as he paused briefly, then nodded as he went back to cleaning his daggers then set them down and picked up the throwing stars.
"Yeah, it's too quiet now. Bella someone was organizing them but they are still out there." Held up a star to the light then turned it in his fingers, glanced at her as he slid it into a hidden compartment then started on another. "Can't stop cause one thing is over. There's always a next then something after that." Shrugged as he repeated the same routine as before going on the third star. "Besides, Phury is waiting."

Her nice night, just became less nice. He just got back. He was right, there would always be something right around the corner. Which was all the more reason to enjoy the time in between. Besides, something wasn't sitting well with her. A bad feeling or whatever you want to call it. The thought of him going back out, didn't help.
Glanced over at him as he continued to to clean his throwing stars then slipped from the bed before walking over to stand in front of him. She then reached down to still his hand from cleaning the blade and looked into his eyes. "Don't go."

Brought his attention up to Bella, her voice different -somehow reminding him of days past, shake that- but blinked anyway. Slipping his free hand along her arm, corners of his lips turning up in reassurance.
"Don't be silly. Nothing is happening out there. Really I just came back to reload." Took her arm as he stood, bringing her close into his body, leaning his head to feel her hair against his face. "It's all recog. V's got us all chasing ghosts to be sure there's no lingering problems or however he put it. Tohrment is backing him so, no big. Lockdown over."
Kissed her, first on her forehead then lifted her face to his and cherished her cheeks, down to her collar and finally her full, sweet lips. Lids low, breathing that kind of even his voice came out low and, for him, sultry.
"I'll be back in no time." Against her soft.
Then he had to key go as his twin was knocking. Held her hand until he had to let go then reluctantly left, again, for the night.

"Love you. Stay safe." She called out after him as he left. She knew the importance of his duty, but on nights like this, when he himself said things were quiet, she found it hard to understand the need to go back out.
Feeling a bit disappointed and maybe a little rejected, she sighed and glanced back over at the window as the sky lit up from lightning now off in the distance. Maybe it was just her mood and she was just being silly. Whatever it was, it would pass she decided as she got back into bed. He said nothing was going on out there. The odds of anything happening were low. Though as she thought about that, so were the odds of a civilian coming to the manse who the Brothers already had record of. Which reminded her, she needed to check on those who were still here. For now, she would try and get some sleep and try to shake the mood she was in.
Picking up her book, she laid on her side and began reading till slowly she drifted off to sleep.
