Having heard that one of the remaining civilians would be leaving as soon as the shutters were up, she made her way down to the Clinic to check in on them. The male was the brother of the female she had treated out in the hall and she had taken a special interest. The female had stayed with her brother this whole time. He had been one of the more severely injured. Besides, there was something familiar there. She couldn't tell if it was that she would be just as upset if Rehvenge was injured or what it was.
As she approached the room she knocked on the door frame to the open door and stepped inside. She smiled. "So, I hear you are going home today?" The female smiled and thanked her for all her help. The male, glanced over and his eyes widened slightly before he smiled a little. Odd. The male nodded and pushed up to stand. "Yes, yes. All healed. We are extremely grateful." As he looked over at her and met her eyes, he stared for a moment then shook his head as if he was composing himself. A bit of an awkward moment that left her feeling as if she was missing something.

He gathered his belongings and inclined his head to his sister. "The shutters should be up soon. Let's get out of their way. I'm sure they are busy and have work to do." His sister nodded and rose from her chair, thanking her again as she passed. As the male passed, he paused in front of her looking her in the eyes. Those eyes. She remembered them. But from where? A sense of anxiety began to rise as something from the recesses of her mind began fighting to come to the forefront.
This time a warm, genuine smile spread across his face before he spoke. "Thank you. For everything. Not only the care you all have given us this past few days, but for before." His smile faltered for a moment as if a dark thought or old memory crossed his mind then he smiled sadly as he patted her arm as he exited the room. "I'm glad to see you made it out of there as well."

Feeling as if the air in her lungs had been knocked out of her, she leaned against the door, staring blankly in front of her as the memories flooded forward and began to click together. Those blue eyes. No wonder she hadn't noticed them. The last time she had, they were so panicked as she was forced down to attempt to feed from him as he was chained to a stainless steal table in the persuasion center. She had been so starved that David had brought her a civilian as a "gift" to feed from. She had to fight the bloodlust and had refused. Thankfully another lesser had interrupted as David broke down and she was able to set him free that night. But the punishment that followed......
She closed her eyes tight to try and block out the memories. To push them back into the nice little compartment in her mind she had them hidden away. It was too late. The memories, panic, anger and even the numbness when she had just about given up hope, all flooded her mind.
Taking deep breaths to try and calm herself, she glanced back to try and stop the male to talk to him. To thank him for contacting the brotherhood. If he hadn't, who knows if she'd be here. Only the hall was empty. He and his sister were already gone.
