Adjusting his tie once more he slipped on his suit coat that Ehlena held out for him. Pulling her around to his front he nuzzled her neck, then stopped righting himself. He was still overly cautious not give and over abundance of affection. Knowing his shellan was trying to help he smiled as he tucked a stay hair that came from her chignon. "You ready to come and hear what bull shit they want to spew tonight?"

The simple act of tucking that ONE piece of hair out of her face she smiled. Reaching up she touched his face, adjusted the dimples in his tie and smoothed his lapels as she tucked the matching pocket square in his front pocket.
"I've heard most of it before.. Superiority... blah blah blah.. the livestock may change but the bullshit never does," she said handing him a string of pearls to fasten around her neck.
"Please?"

"Of course leelan." Taking the string of pearls he fastened them around her neck. She did not need any big jewels to make her look classy and important. She did that all on her own and it was one of the many reasons he loved her like he did. Turning her he straightened the necklace. "There beautiful but not as much as the owner." Holding out his free arm he waited for her to take it. "Lets go see if Marissa and Bella are ready yo go."

After she finished getting ready, she left her mated room she shared with Zsadist and walked toward the staircase to go down to meet the others. Spending any amount of time among the glymera still made her a little uncomfortable. So she had put off getting ready to go as long as she could and now was running late.
She smiled a little as she made her way down the staircase, seeing the others were waiting. "Sorry." Took a quick look around for Nalla and Zsadist, who she wanted to say goodbye to before she left but neither were anywhere in sight. Nalla, was probably shadowing her father, wherever he was. Sighed and turned back to the others. "Alright. Let's go."

Nalla had spied on her Mahmen and therefore she knew there was some kind of party for princesses and princes tonight and she wanted to go, oh, how she wanted to go! But nor her Mahmen nor her Daddy had invited her, they had said it would be very very boring. Nalla didn't think so. She thought it would be amazing. So Nalla had put on her best dress and had made Frizt do her hair in secret. Her Mahmen always said elegance was important and Nalla didn't want to embarrass her parents. She hid in the corners of the Mansion until she was sure no one would see her. Then, she walked out through the back door and ran to the garage. There were so many cars! But she only needed one. Uncle Rehv's. She opened the trunk and jumped in before closing it from inside. She curled up and waited. It was dark but she was a big girl. Soon enough, she heard voices approaching the car. Nalla sighed in relief.

Hitting the alarm on the Bentley he opened the doors for Ehlena, Marissa and Bella. Sliding into the driver side he fired up the heater but not to hot. Once they where buckled in he looked in the rear view mirror. "Oh come on it won't be that bad. I get to tell them no on everything and watch them dare to disagree and Marissa gets to put them in their place." Pulling out the drive way thru the mhis he headed to the house that belonged to his mother where the meeting was being held. "We can stop for pancakes even."

Watching as the scenery flew by she was lost in her own thoughts. She really didn't like the people she was about to have to see. They had literally ruined her father's life and probably contributed to his instability. Ehlena had been run through the mill of their politics and spat out on the other end, chewed up, disgraced in there eyes and thrown aside. Tonight, though, she was going to walk in to the house, with her head high and her hand firmly on Rehvenge's arm and meet their gazes with confidence. She was not the meek and mild child they had last seen. She was a female of worth on the arm of her hellren who just happened to the the Princeps of the council. A soft smile played across her lips as they hit the city limits of Caldwell.

Hearing a voice he listened then slammed on the brakes when he heard it once more. He knew that voice all too well. Hitting the emergency lights he pulled to the side of the road near his mahmen's former house and killed the car hitting the latch to the boot as he got out of the Bentley. Moving as fast as he could with cane and all he jerked the boot open and saw he very precious niece. Lifting her out of the trunk he held her tightly then took her to the back door and opened it putting her in Bella's lap. "Seems we have a stowaway either that or young come standard in boots these days."

The seat belts tightened down, jerking her back into the seat with a oomph.
Her eyes widened as her hellren slammed the car into park and shot out of the driver's seat , cane in hand to circle the car. The boot popped open and she gasped as the back door popped open and Nalla was placed in her mahmen's lap. Ehlena chuckled. "I think we have picked up an extra member," she chuckled.

She heard the voice coming from the trunk and felt a surge of panic. Her brother couldn't stop the car fast enough. Time seemed to stop while he got her out of the trunk and didn't seem to start again, till she was safely in her lap. "Dear Scribe Virgin, Nalla!" All she could do was hold her tight and lean back in her seat while her heart rate slowed down as they pulled back out onto the road.

Snorting as he pulled into the drive of the house he killed the car. Grabbing his cane he first opened the back doors then the front passenger door. Helping Ehlena out of the car he tucked her hand firmly into his arm. "Don't worry tahlly, they won't dare say anything about you and your father." He whispered for her ears only. As they walked inside they went right to the large dining room that was being used. The glymera all jumped to their feet not just out of respect but fear as well. He could read all the grids and saw it like it was a bright neon on the 3D map of their minds. In a dark corner he picked up a new grid one he had not seen in many many years and he squeezed Ehlena's hand as he rapped his knuckles on the table. "You all can sit down and let the ass kissing begin."

Sitting down at Rehv's side she crossed her legs at her ankles. The squeeze from her hellren's hand calmed her jangled nerves. She smiled at the looks that went from astonished to surprised to down right amazed. Forcing back a chuckle she squeezed his hand back and nodded subtly.

She followed the others inside with Nalla and then entered the dining room. Helping Nalla into a seat, she then took her own ignoring the looks from some of the glymera who still had "opinions" of her and focused on the memories being here reminded her of. Those of her mahmen.

His brows shot up at the mention of the meetings that where being called with out his knowledge. He had found out a couple weeks back and had told Wrath when they met before he left again with Rhage. Steepling his fingers he saw Bella with Nalla next to her acting the grown up and knew that some there did not approve, but he did not give a flying fuck. He looked around the table and then the room and caught the grid of the male once more and caught deception for a brief moment before it as gone. He saw the male step out and had to suppress the growl glad that his shellan had squeezed his thigh. He knew who that was and it meant there was something bigger going down. Changing directions he looked at the guilty faces.
"I will say this only once. If any of you dumb shits think I don't know that you are meeting with out my approval guess again. Someone tried to take out our King and that does not make me happy. If you keep it up those of you that go to those will be stripped of everything. Try me I dare you. Now it has come to my desk that Marissa is needing donation for Safe House and many of you have not been doing anything to support her. That's stops tonight. You all will be writing checks and donating items. I expect stuff to start showing up tomorrow and to help Mariss will be my sister Bella. Any of you uptight narrow minded people fu..." he stopped when he saw Nalla look at him. He chuckled softly at her calling then the evil step mother. "Upset my sister or give her any reason to get mad, and I will have her mate be here at the next meeting and you can tell HIM. Why you are all looking your noses down at her." Giving them a fanged smile he continued. "Also if any of you think yo can look down or treat my shellan like you did before. You are sorely wrong so I suggest you make with the making nice." Taking her hand he raised it above the table and kissed the back of her hand and rested it on his arm where they could all see it.

Listening to her male pretty much bitch slap each and every member there into actually paying attention she was filled with so much pride. When he tugged her hand from his thigh and lifted it to his lips then laid her hand in the crook of his arm for all to see. She heard the collective gasp of disapproval of such an open show of affection made her want to laugh. Frankly, she didn't give a damn. Looking over at Bella and Marissa, she smiled. "Oh I would love to see your Zsadist and your Cop come to the next meeting. That would be worth the price of admission just to watch everyone's butt cheeks tighten to the point of strangling themselves," she said and chuckled.

Turning her attention back to the others, she tried to compose herself, meeting their looks with confidence.

Barking out a laugh at his niece's boast he unfolded his hands and waved his fingers at then. "You heard mine sister's young. Now go and get out of my sight before I change my mind and have Zsadist and Butch come here right now." As they left the room he pointed at the last one to leave. "Assail. You and I have some business to talk about feel me? You try anything or I find out you are behind any of this shit going down I will see to it myself that you become a Sun Maid raisin on Wrath's front lawn." Once the room was empty he stood offering his arm to Ehlena. "Pancakes anyone?"
