She had put in an appearance at First Meal having eaten very little. Ehlena was often not quite as hungry as she should be without her hellren at home. Worry knotted her stomach turning even Fritz's best dishes into sawdust in her mouth.
With the Princeps meeting scheduled and nothing in the TC that needed attending to and Jane having given her the night off, she dressed casually and headed to see her Father and Lusie.
As much as she loved her male sometimes a female just needed to be around her father.
Opting to drive rather than demat, she pulled up in front of the manor and smiled.
She rang the bell and was met by the male doggen.
"Good eve Lady Rempoon! How fare thee?" he said as he stepped back for her to enter.
"I am well Aran. How are you?"
"We are all well, thank you milady. Are you here to see thine Father?"
Ehlena nodded. "I am. Is he well this eve?"
"Yes he is," the doggen answered. "He and Madam Lusie are completing the crossword puzzle as we speak. They are in his office. Shall I announce you?"
"Yes, please."she said following the dapper male up the sweeping stairs.
He rapped on the door and called, "Sire thine daughter, Ehlena is here to see thee."
"Do allow her hence," her father said as Aran pushed the door open.
"Good eve, Father Mine. How fare thee?" she said as she entered the room.
"I am well daughter," he said as she embraced him and quickly kissed his cheek.
"Hi Lusie," she said less formally. "You doing okay?"
"We are doing fine, Miss. Quite well. Almost have the puzzle done. Perhaps you would join us?"
Ehlena looked to her father and nodded. "I would verily be delighted," she said and sat down in the chair at her Father's left hand.
