The door to the Bentley popped open and a familiar hand appeared.
"Lady Ehlena, you look stunning," Trez said with a grin.
Ehlena smiled back at her hellren's best friend and oft times caregiver.
"Thank you Trez," she said sliding out of the leather seats to stand at his side under the entrance awning.
Rehv emerged from the driver's side, cane in hand as he circled the front of the car.
"Are we ready?" she asked.

With a nod to Trez he offered his arm to her.
"Yes I am. And Trez. Knock off the my Lady bull. She knows your just trying to kiss ass." He winked at Ehlena as they walked inside Sal's.

IAm met them at the maitre de's podium and smiled tucking two menus under his arm. He lead them through the front of the house to a set of heavy double doors that was the start of the private dining area that had been reserved for them.
"Hush Rehvenge.. he can kiss ass all he wants to. You're just jealous because he and V told me first," she said wrinkling her nose and grinning at him as IAm started to hold her chair but stopped with a soft growl from Rehvenge.

Giving IAm THE look. He took the chair on his right and pulled it out for her. Once she sat down he pushed her up to the table and then took his seat.
"When our guest arrives. Bring him back here and then you and Trez stand by. Flip a fuckin coin as who get to stay here and who waits on the outside." Once IAm left he leaned over and nuzzled her neck softly and whispered.
"I was waiting for the right time. I thought you heard me growl when I fastened your necklace. You look resplendent and I can't wait to get you out of that dress." Sitting back up he saw her blush nd chuckled softly as they waited for their "guest".

She felt her cheeks warm under his frank and adoring gaze. "I thought you were growling at V for knocking when we were getting dressed.. My bad," she chuckled.
Picking up the menu to give it a once over she looked over the lip of it at her hellren. "You look good enough to eat but damn if you aren't on the menu.. is there a dessert menu for VIP's that I should know about?" she smiled back at him.

He started to reply when the doors opened. Righting himself he saw Erick son of Dorin stroll in as if he owned the room. Rehv's symphath side shook it's cage as his started to read the males grid. It made Rehv want to dispense of all the he had planned and go for the fuckers throat. When he bow and started to take Ehlena's hand he growled softly.
"Sit down please." He did not even bother to hake the fuckers hand. When a folder was pushed toward him Rehv looked at it as if he was bored.

Ehlena looked up as the doors opened and her heart dropped to her Mahnolo's. What the hell was HE doing here. Fighting down the urge to bolt she straightened in her chair and met his green eyes with a lift of her chin. That son of a bitch wasn't... what the hell? she thought as he reached for her hand.. OH no he didn't.. she slid her hand out of his fingers reach and met his gaze as her mate growled. Laying her left hand on Rehv's right arm, she nodded at the other male instead of speaking. She knew if she opened her mouth that would be the end of her control. Schooling her features into cool disdain, she met her male's eyes every bit the Queen he had named her but something... something still felt hinky...

Feeling Ehlnea's fingers dig into his arm he met her eyes briefly then looked back down at the declaration of blood lines. Funny how he did not list his sisters. When her got to the request he smirked and laid the folder open in front of Ehlena as he spoke in a low deadly tone.
"Denied."
Erick looked at Ehlena not even noticing where she sat. Sniffing the air he caught a smell of spices. Shrugging it off as it being the food being cooked his raised a brow.
"Pardon me Rehvenge son of Rempoon. But did you sat denied?" He looked confused and smiled a knowing smile to Ehlena. Gods she was so beautiful and confident. Something had changed in her. He hoped she would buy his story and forgive him.

Ehlena looked down at the bloodline report and the formal request and paled.. THAT's what was up.. Her eyes flipped to Rehvenge then back to Erick before she pushed the folder aside and stood up, furious at both of them.
Placing her hands flat on the table she pinned Erick with a look. "Not only denied but FUCKING DENIED.. I am mated to the male that is sitting across from you. AND you," she turned to face her male.. "You KNEW didn't you? You fucking knew... and this.."waved her hand around the room and their supposed "date night' " was a set up. THIS is why you've been so cagey for the last three days." Turning again to Erick she lifted her chin her eyes blazing amber," I learned my lesson the first time. Even if I weren't mated to the love of my life, you wouldn't stand a snow ball's chance in hell of EVER doing what you did to me a second time."

Not showing any emotion to his shellans rightful anger. He watched as the male became as pale as a lesser. He started to get up when Trez clamped a large hand on Erick son of Dorin's shoulder. He pointed a finger at him and as if telling him to just wait his turn.
"Leelan. Sit down mine shellan. I know you are mad and it is your right. But I am going to do as I said I would last night. I am ahvenging you."
He let free his bonding scent letting it soak the air as he leaned down and opened his briefcase and pulled out what V gave him.
"Seems you lied about some things son." Opening the blood line report he read the males grid and started to pick it open a little at a time. Nudging Erick with a less then non forceful nudge. He made him stay stationed in the chair not letting him talk. His mouth worked but nothing came out.
"Seems you have four sisters. Wonder why we never knew that? I know your father died in the raids as did your step mother. So tell me why you put them in sehclusion? Inquiring minds and all?"

Ehlena yanked her chair back out and sat down, folding her arms over herself.
She listened as Rehvenge read off the information from V if she were a betting female, and waited for his answer still fuming. She knew this was important to her male.. to ahvenge her honor but damn it.. why couldn't he have done this alone and NOT on the first date night they have had in weeks...as she thought through her feelings on the whole matter from beginning to end she was still angry that her hellren had left her out of the loop.. she was hurt that he used something that should have been a nice thing and turned it into a conhtest.. good god.. males... ugh..
She took a steadying breath and waited for Erick to answer which right then he didn't look like he was capable of doing. He looked like he had been slapped in the face with a wet fish.

As he delved deeper he popped the tops of more of the male's emotions and found what he was looking for and he growled shoving his chair back as he stood. His bonded half took over his his fangs dropped as his hissed at him. Feeling Ehlena's hand on his he straightened his tie and spoke softly.
"One shot leelan. That's all I need. Then he will find out what I am going to do to him and his station."

She hadn't realized that she had placed her hand on his arm. but sure enough there it was. Her male's bonding scent roared in the small room. She looked up at him as he watched the other male, his purple gaze never leaving Erick's pale fading to grey face.
She slowly slid her hand from his arm. "One and he remains breathing and able to leave on his own when he comes to."
Erick's panicked eyes turned to her. "Don't let him kill me... please.. I didn't know... I swear to the Virgin I didn't know... "
Ehlena's face was emotionless when she answered. "If he would have wanted you dead, you would have been cold by now, Erick. Pay back is a bitch and you won't get off the hook by dying.. You and your power play cost me my mother's life.. did you know that? Hmmm did you know that your little lie about me was the straw that broke the camel's back? Did you know that less than a day after, my father found her with her veins opened from her wrists to her elbows in the middle of their mated bed? I think leaving you alive is going to be worse than killing you if I know my male.." she said and looked at Rehvenge. "Do you wish for me to stay?"

With a curt nod he let loose the control he had on the males mind letting him get up. Trez backed up as if he knew what was doin and went to stand by Ehlena. As Rehv jumped the table and grabbed the man by his throat picking him up off the ground. Snarling his fangs grew longer as he hissed.
"You could have cost me my beloved. You have no idea how lucky you are."
Erick pleaded and what he said made Rehv grow even more pissed off.
"She wanted it just as much as I did. I gave her to you well used." With a loud growl Rehv's fist connected with Ericks jaw. The force of the blow breaking it. He crumpled to the ground in a heap. Spinning around her strode over to Ehlena and pulled her closely to him. The need to make her as his was thundering through his veins. Tilting her head to the side his bite her clean and hard as he growled one word.
"Mine."

As Erick's venomous words dropped from his mouth it was all she could do to stay by Trez as her male broke Erick's jaw and not kick him where he'd limp for the rest of his days. Before Erick had hit the floor her hellren was on her, her head cranked to the side, and his fangs at her throat, with a rumbled MINE.
She melted against him, her hands clutching his arms to stay upright as he bit deep and hard.
A breeze brushed her spine as she realized that Trez had melted away as Shadows do.
Sweet virgin... she began to tremble as fire and his bonding scent covered her. Burying her face in the lapel of his suit she moaned as she came apart in his arms her body responding to her male's claim in a heated rush.

Taking his fill sated and knowing once they where back at the penthouse he would get inside her whee his body was screaming to be. Licking her neck where he bit her it closed and he felt her tremble against him. Gently lifting her head away from his chest he looked into her face. He could smell her need and saw it written across her face.
"I'm sorry for using you. I knew if I told you your reaction would not seem genuine if you knew." He brushed his thumb across her cheek her warmth breaking thru the Dopamine along with his bonded side. Out of the corner of his eyes he saw Trez and IAm pick the male up. They saw the loophole as he had. If anything symphath's lived for loopholes. While Ehlena said he had to walk out on his own when he came to. She did not say where he had to walk out from.

When she could speak she nodded. "I didn't appreciate it that's for sure," she sighed. "What are you going to do about his sisters? None of this was their fault. I doubt they even knew," she said her eyes meeting his. A thought crossed her mind as she stepped back out of his arms.
Dropping to her knees she bowed her head with her right hand over her heart and the other palm up toward him.
In a low voice she began to speak in the Old Language. "I thank thee mine rahlman for ahvenging my honor and mine own life. Thou has returned unto me the bearing of mine station. I thanketh thee as is proper and right by offering my self unto thee as thine for thou hast saved me and given me new hope and removed the blight upon mine name. I ask of thee do not cast me aside nor discount mine offering. I am thine," she said then looked up and met his stunned eyes, switching into modern. "Absolutely. Positively.. Always"
