Daggers (Selena)

After getting permission from Phury to have my daggers made, I bounced around my room excitedly waiting for the shutters to go up so I could return to the Mansion and head to the Pit to let Vishous know.

As the shutters finally raised I ran down the stairs and out the back door. From the patio I dematted to the Mansion lawn. Looking over at the Pit, I ran across the lawn ignoring the garden for the first time and wound up at the front door. Knocking loudly, I waited for someone to answer. Maybe I should've called first to see if Vishous was there, but surely Jane, Marissa or butch would be home.

Jane answered the door, and invited me in. She said that Vishous was with his toys and she led me back to his room. The sight of the four computers all running with different screens flipping here and there always caught me by surprise.

"Vishous, I just wanted to come by and let you know I got permission from Phury for you to make me some daggers. Small ones to fit my hands, not black daggers like the Brothers have. And he is going to train me with them. I am so very excited. How long will it take?"

Vishous lit up a hand rolled and lit it as he listened to my tirade. "Very well little one. I'll get right on it. They will take about a week."

Bouncing from foot to foot, I tried to stand still but couldn't. "Gee that long? I thought it would be faster."

Vishous smiled at me and said, "it takes time to work with the metal and to forge strong blades. But you'll see, the time will pass quickly if you find something to do in the meantime."

"Thank you so very much V. I can hardly wait!" Wanting him to rush and get started but not wanting to say so, I rushed over and hugged him quickly then left the Pit and went back to the Mansion to find something to do.
