As the sun set on the other side of the river, she stood on the deck over looking the scene. John couldn't be out here with her yet, which was too bad as it was a beautiful sunset, but she liked the peacefulness of the forest at the end of the day. With a final red glow, the sun fell below the horizon and the shutters on the cabin opened.
When she'd left John Matthew, he'd still been in bed sleeping. She should go see if he was awake and what he wanted to do tonight, but for right now, she just wanted to enjoy the twilight. This place was so remote, so quiet, so peaceful. She really didn't want to leave, but they had a life to return to, others counting on them. Maybe they should buy a cabin like this out here. Just her and John, someplace to retreat to a couple times a year. It was something to think about.

Hearing the shutters open for the night, he stretched and got out of bed. Padding to the large double doors over looking the lake he saw a beautiful sight. His shellan watching the water.
Pulling on a pair of pants he opened the catch on the door and made his way out to meet her. Reaching where she sat he sat behind her wrapping her in his arms, kissing her cheek.

Leaning back against him, she watched the night birds flit around over the water. "Can we just stay here forever? It'd be great...and quiet." She tipped her head back and smiled at him. "I'm only half joking." Stretching, she gave him a slow, deep kiss. "Hey, babe. What do you think we should do tonight?"

Shrugged and shifted, standing he took her hands and pulled her up and into him. Leaning down to capture her lips he smiled into them. Letting go he grinned and pulled his pants down stepping out of them, he arched a brow. Took a running leap off the pier and cannonballed into the water.

Laughing, she shook her head. "Skinny dipping it is then." When he popped his head out of the water, she started to strip down while he watched her. Walking to the end of the pier, she dove neatly into the water a few feet from him. The water was cold and felt amazing. Surfacing, she ran her hands over her short hair, smoothing the water from it. Grinning at John Matthew, she swam toward him. "Good idea."

Watched her dive in the water, she was extremely graceful and he hardened at the sight of her. When she surfaced the water he grinned and was closer to her. Pulling her into his arms her kissed her deeply and let the water from their hair fall over their faces.
Treading the water he entwined his legs with her and kept them moving.

Took her hand and led her to the pier, lifting her up by the waist he set her on the pier and pulled himself up to her. The cool air giving chills to his skin.
