Grabbing the large fluffy towel as he got out of the shower he dried off and looked at the clock on the counter of the bathroom. Ehlena should be here at any moment he mused as he wrapped the towel around his hips and got out his required doses. Just the thought of his shellan made his vision go back to normal and out of the shade of red that it had been.
With a clean needle and bottle all set up he went to get under the blankets and await his shellan.

Her atoms gathered in the foyer of the Grand camp and the quiet hit her. The smell of the fire burning up stairs in the room where her male waited made her smile as she took the stairs two at a time to stop at the double doors at the end of the hall.
A gentle tap against the wood, and she pushed the door open and smiled. "Hi," she said closing the door behind her as she move across the room to sit down on the side of the bed and kiss her male thoroughly. "I've missed you," she said softly.

Growling he snaked an arm around her feeling coming back to him in a slow wave. Nipping her bottom lip he tasted blood before he sealed the nip closed.
"Well hello beautiful. I missed you too."

A smile broke on her face at the "beautiful" "I'm very glad.. " she said laying down by him kicking off her Keds content just to be near him. "Mmmm you smell good," she breathed against his neck,

Making room for her, he let her cuddle against him. Pulling one of the fur throws over her he kissed the top of her head as she rested on his chest.
"I just took a shower and was waiting on you to come home to play nurse."

"Not Doctor?" she shot back with a grin, rubbing the tip of her nose between his pecs, her cheek resting on a red star.
"Well...seeing as how I love you and all that I guess I can do that." she whined playfully sounding all exasperated but grinning as she teased him>

Giving her a playful smack on her rear through the covers he grinned at her.
"Seeing as you love me? Well if you don't I guess I can go back to my old life." He teased her.

"I wouldn't want you to have to work 2 jobs," she chuckled as she reached for the dopamine and the syringe. "Your delicate composition might not take the stress too well. Besides, I'd hate to shoot every female that looked at you sideways with a twinkle in her eye. I don't think they allow conjugal visits in the dungeon of the Manse," she snorted as she drew up the shot and found a vein and gave him the medicine tossing the used needle onto the bed side table to cuddle back down against him.

Making a fist and flexing his arm he waited for the dopamine to work it's magic even though with Ehlena by his side he really did not need it.
After a minute or so he frowned. His vision was going back to red and he was still very warm and it was not due to his shellan.
"Tahlly are you sure you gave me enough?"

She sat back up and met his eyes. "Same as always.. checked it twice actually. What's wrong? Are you having a bad reaction? Was the vial bad?" she said picking it backup to check the date and the seal. Both were good.
"Rehvenge, what's wrong?'

Frowning he flexed his arm and opened and closed his fist.
"It's not working. I can still feel you as if I am not drugged. My vision is flipping back and forth as well. And it's really warm in here."

Checking the vial date again and the amount again she looked back up at him. "You are nearly at the max dose. I can give you a bit more but not alot. Seems you're becoming resistant to the dopamine. It may be time to do some research and find another drug for you," she said getting a clean syringe from the bathroom. "Do you want the extra or not?" she asked, her heart in her throat.

"Yes. And then tomorrow you get with Jane and do your research. I can't go back to using pain. I can't do what Xhex does."
He head fell back and he kept flexing his arm as if it might make the meds work.

Drawing up the med again she gave him the shot and waited, watching as his fist clenched and unclenched at his side. Laying her hand on his arm she put the needle down and waited with him.
"You bet I will.. this... yeah forward not back... " she whispered.

When the cold chill swept over him and her face came back to him in 3-D he let the breath he was holding out.
Huddling under the blankets he started to chill and tired to get warm.
"Come keep me warm leelan. Please Lena?"

Stripping down in a flash, she crawled beneath the covers going skin to skin with him. She wrapped her arms about him bringing their bodies into uninterrupted contact.

Her skin coming into contact with his warmed him in a way nothing else ever could. Closing his eyes he wrapped his arms tightly around her.
