Chosen as First Mate to Phury the Primale in Lover Enshrined, Cormia was friends with John before Phury finally decided to take action and respond to his feelings and claim her as his. She and Phury become "parents" to the rest of the Chosen when the Primale chose to mate with only Cormia. The Scribe Virgin allows the Chosen free-will to chose their mates and their futures under Phury's supervision. In the compendium of J.R. Ward, Phury and Cormia become real parents to the young, Ahgony or "Aggie".
