Ehlena came out of the bedroom smoothing down her favorite sweater over a pair of camel colored slacks and black boots, her hair laying in soft waves over the perfect cashmere.
She had prepared dinner for her hellren and his best friend on her own allowing the doggen to do the cleaning rather than the cooking.
A perfect prime rib sat resting on the counter, twice baked potatoes on warmed plates.. salad and dressing on the side on the table with the best silver and china and crystal and pressed linen napkins. Dessert was tiramisu and it was in the fridge staying cool.
"Love when did he say he was going to be here?" Ehlena called into the study where her male sat with his feet up close to the softly popping fire.

Rehv looked up from the fire when he heard his shellan's voice.
"Soon. He said he would be soon. Don't worry he is not a male who is late for much if anything. Come sit by me till he arrives."

Standing outside the penthouse doors, he cracked a grin. It had been a while since he had seen the insides of the Commodore. He rapped his knuckles and waited.

She had started across the room when three sharp raps made her smile. Switching directions, she went to the door.
"Hello! I am so glad you came. Last time we met was under less than ideal circumstances. Please come in. Rehvenge is in the study."

He was on his feet as he heard Ehlena open the door walking out into the entry way he met his friend and shook his hand.
" 'Bout time you came around for dinner. I take it Xhex has got everything under control? Even our two new bartenders?"

"Why would you assume otherwise??" He shook his friends hand. "Ass U Me" He pointed between Rehv and himself as he spoke the words. Folding his arms, he took his stance, as usual, and cocked his head. "Mine brother has seemed to have lost himself in a chippy again." He heaved a sigh. "Male will never learn" He rasped in his low tones. "Ehlena. " He gave a small bow, and followed them to the dining area.

She had to smile at the interaction of the two males that had long known each other.
She lead Trez to his place then waited for Rehv to take his place before she went to the kitchen to bring out the plates of food.
"Please do not stand on ceremony. Go ahead and eat. I'll get the wine and join you in a bit."

She leaned against the counter for a moment, just listening to the males. The relaxed tone of her hellren's voice made her smile. She knew that he had been through some ugly messed up stuff right at Revhenge's side.. she knew that if it weren't for him, her male would not have... she shook her head and clamped down on that line of thought.
Carrying the bottle of red and the bottle of white wine to the table along with her plate, she slid into her chair with a smile. "Gentlemen.. red or white?"

"Red if you please leelan." He grabbed her hand as he set the white wine down and pulled her over so he could kiss her cheek. "Let me help tahlly." He whispered. Then turned his attention to Trez.
"Well hell I did not know he had one the first time. But that's how it is. But things are doing well. You?"

"I can say the same. Sal's is growing, the Mask is doing better. Got a New flock of girls in. I noticed the twins approve highly" He took a bite of his meat, a sip of wine, and smiled. "They remind me of the post trans we get in from time to time. But don't worry, the shadows see all."

Snorting his took a sip of his wine. "The more social one of the twins like just about any female he can. Keep an eye on him. He talks more then works." He took another sip of wine. "Also I have a job for you after Thanksgiving. I noticed one of the girls had a black eye under all her make up. Was told by another her boyfriend is kinda like Tom Grady was."

Ehlena sat quietly smiling at the males as they talked business and keeping the males in the bar honest and the females protected.
This was such a good idea she congratulated herself with a mental high five.

Taking a bite of the roast and then some potato he smiled a small smile at Ehlena and rubbed his foot against her leg.
"If he does it again have him come to my office. He will find out why the humans give me wide birth true?" Taking a sip of his wine he looked at Ehlena. "This is divine leelan."

"Sure Rehv" He gave an eye roll and took his last bite of meat. He envied the mated pair, but loved the freedom most. Yes, his home was empty, but he liked it that way. "Any young yet??" He chuckled behind his wine glass.

YOu have been a friend and confidant and protector of my heart longer than I have known him to be my heart. You waded through some heavy shit with him for a lot of years. I just wanted to say thank you for not giving up on him when he gave up on himself. You cared for him during some dark and horrible times. Again thank you so much," she smiled across the table at him. "Now dessert. I'll be right back."

Assholish nature and all. I envy you some, Boss. * His eyes gave a flash as he turned in his seat to fully face Rehv. Coming back in with three plates of tiramisu she served Trez then Rehvenge then finally herself as she sat back down. "A girl can't have too many males of worth as brothers and protectors," she nodded adn took a bit of the creamy coffee and cocoa confection. "Oh this is good," she purred and sighed. "Sorry. I have a sweet tooth," she smiled.

He chuckled darkly and kept his thought to himself about her and her sweet tooth. "Well Trez is that even if he can be a dick at times. But don't envy me She's a hard ass about things but I would not have it any other way." He grinned and took a bit of the tiramisu.

"As much as I do love sweeties myself, I do need to get back. Xhex is moody as fuck these days, and those twins stand no chance if she wants for death." He grinned wide. "Would SO hate to miss that" He licked his fangs and flashed his eyes their green glow. "Enjoy your night. Ehlena and Asshole *grin* I will see you again soon" He stood, gave a bow, and left the couple, ready for whatever the night brings him.
