Ehlena stepped off the treadmill wiping sweat from her face. She glanced up to see Payne and Wrath going full tilt at each other when Payne leaned back... WAAAYYY back nearly parallel to the mat to dodge a strike from the king.
Ehlena gasped, Damn that female almost defied gravity right then.
Yeah she needed to learn how to do that.
When the King bowed to Payne and left the TC with George jingling at his side, she stepped onto the mats.
"Miss Payne? could I ask a favor of you?"

She had just untwisted a cap off her water bottle when she heard Ehlena. She looked over and gave a short smile. "Please do. I would love to be of assistance if I am able to."

"Teach me to do what you just did?" she asked. "I know some of the basics but watching you spar with Wrath was more like a dance than a battle and well it never hurts to have a bit more knowledge on the ball than what it looks like. You are so graceful and I am SO not. Please?"

She blinked a little surprised at that. What she did, she did naturally. She was unsure how to explain that to her - at least that is what it felt like was natural movements. "It is because fighting is like dancing. A dance with swords and fist. Quiet breathtaking actually."
She smiled sweetly, "I would love to teach you Ehlena."

A huge grin broke over her face. "I know you are worn out and you might be on rotation tonight but if you could give me something to work toward until we can find the time to start in earnest I would really appreciate it."

She rubbed the back of her neck and glanced at the time. She was supposed to go meet the male that Bella was hooking her up with to feed from but this would work. She need a distraction. Distractions were good.
"How is your balance normally?"

Ehlena chuckled. " I don't randomly tip over.. pretty good I would guess. Not perfect though. I probably could use some improvement," she answered honestly.

She crossed her arms and looked at Ehlena one hand covering her mouth thinking about which she could teach first. After a while she just didn't think about it anymore. It was all just a normal flow.
She dropped her hands and rolled her shoulders before moving over to the other woman. "Lets work on something simple. A back bend. Something simple and it will lead up to what you saw me do a moment a go with the King."
She stepped back and demonstrated. Bending backwards until her hands touched the ground.

Ehlena watched and blinked a bit. "Okay.. hmmm " leaning back she arched her back a little at a time until... whap.. her butt hit the mat with a smack. "I don't think I got that right," she said. This was gonna take some serious work and thought.
Planting her feet with her knees bent she pressed her hands to the mat and lifted her body from the floor in a not quite as perfect as Payne's arc but she was a work in progress.

With a small movement she flipped over into a crouch then moved towards her. "Stand back up." She said softly then moved so she kind of behind Ehlena. "Trust me to catch you and just fall backwards into my hands. I'll help you with your arch so you know how it feels. Another way to do this is from straight on your back. Having your hands placed in the proper place and feet planted you can push your body up into the arch and get the feel. However, let us start from here."

Getting to her feet she nodded and began to lean back into the taller females hands. Slowly her body bent backwards. She felt Payne's hands under her shoulder blades as she relaxed into the bend. The natural movement of her arms, went back as well as she reached for the floor with Payne's support. "I guess the whole other thing is more about strength and flexibility huh? Wow talking upside down is really odd," she added.

She laughed softly. "Just a tad. Eventually you will be able to do this without your hands. Balance is key. Especially when in a fight. You want to make sure you can get low like this then back up... one misstep one tumble can mean your life. However, i doubt Rehv would allow that."
She then with only a little effort flipped the other and smiled as she stared up at her from the ground. "Back flips can come in hand too. Good tool to kick and to get away as long as you are not caught." She made a small movement and flicked her braid behind her shoulder. "Lesson one."

Staring at the world from the new angle she had to smile. Things looked a bit different from down there. With a push from her arms she managed to get her upper body back to its normal position.
Sitting in the floor cross legged she looked up at Payne. "This will give me something to do.. you know I might try it like sitting on a bench so I can have some support for the days you are otherwise occupied. Thank you so much," she smiled as she got to her feet. "i don't know what I could teach you but I'll return the favor some day," she said handing Payne her towel

She shook her head at the offer of the towel. She was just going to go up stairs and shower. "Do not worry your self over it. I am happy as long as you wish to learn." She smiled. "You never know when those moves can be handy."

Throwing the towel over her own shoulder she nodded. "I won't worry .. I may plot but I won't worry," she chuckled. "I'd better head on up. It's my shift in the clinic tonight and I need a shower. Thank you again," she said heading for the tunnel to get cleaned up for work.
