As the days count down to Christmas, Layla and I decided we needed to go Christmas shopping and we knew just who we wanted to take us. Qhuinn had gotten a new car and we wanted to go into New York City to shop. This would be a first time for us and we were both very excited.
Getting dressed in jeans and a sweater, with boots and my leather jacket in hand, I went down to Layla's room to see if she was ready. The shutters had just gone up and we needed to find Qhuinn before he left to go out with Blay or JM.
Knocking on Layla's door, I waited for her to answer. "Sistermine are you ready?"

Pulling on my boots just as Selena knocked at the door, "I'm coming Sister." Grabbing my purse and jacket, I opened the door and hugged her.
"We must hurry. I just heard the shutters." Grabbing Selena by the hand, we closed my door and went in search of Qhuinn. Trying his room first, we knocked on the door and waited to see if her was there.

Oh Yaay, shopping with the girlies!! He gave a mental eye roll at the thought but at least it would be a distraction from the cooing in the next room. Sax and Blay are decorating a tree and laughing. He huffed, toeing the floor and tidied his black ensemble. At the soft knock on his door, he threes the lock and answered. "Come on in girlie. I'm almost done."

Entering Qhuinn's room, I hugged him quickly and thanked him for agreeing to take us shopping. I could hardly wait to also see the tree decorated at Rockefeller Center.
"Qhuinn thank you so much for agreeing to this. I know Phury and Cormia would not want us going alone and since this is out first Christmas on this side, I hope it will snow."

Hugging Qhuinn also, I was so excited but worried a bit that I may overdo things. I knew I'd have to take is kinda easy, now that I was with young. But I knew Qhuinn would be extra protective.
"Can we take your new car? Selena hasn't seen or ridden in it yet."

*Hugging and kissing each one on the head, he held Laya's hand* Of course we can, girlie. *Palming his car keys he grinned and tugged on Layla* Lets jet. And yes you may listen to Christmas music. *He laughed as they squeeled and giggled all the way to the garage. Doggen laughed and smiled as they watched them go. Once in the car, he checked seat belts and swung the car out.* Ready?

Giggling excitedly at the thought of Christmas music, we rushed down to the car. The doggen we baking everything imaginable and we'd have hot cocoa, coffee and treats upon our return.
Buckling up in the car, we were ready to go. "Yes, let's go, I can hardly wait to ride in the new car. I love the yellow color Qhuinn."

Taking Qhuinn's hand, we went down to the car and buckled in. As we headed out into the night, I watched the trees rush by as I sang along with the radio.
"Where are we going first? Can we see the tree before shopping? I have my list and I can hardlky wait to see all the decorations in the mall. Maybe Santa will be there too and we can get a picture with him."

Watching all the lights as we cross the river, the night and everything within sight shining bright. Pulling into the garage at the mall, we got out with list and credit cards in hand that Phury gave us and we entered the mall. There were many shops and they were all decorated festively.
"I think I'd like to start at the Build a Bear toy store to get something for Nalla."

Holding Qhuinn's hand, I walk along starstruck. "Oh Sister that is such a good idea. We can each get her a different one along with the clothes to change them."
Walking into the shop we each go a separate way, myself with Qhuinn, though Selena is only within eyesight. Picking up a Puppy, and 3 outfits to go with it, I smile and head to the checkout.

He grinned, careful to hide fangs, and watched her play.* He needs these. *He held up the tiny leathers and boots, chuckling. He stopped and held the pants. Baby tiny they were. He had ideas. He arched a brow* How about for our young?

Standing on the other aisle as I picked a teddy bear for Nalla along with some outfits, I overheard Qhuinn telling Layla he wanted to get some clothes for their young. I smiled and envied them both the happiness I wish I had. I too wanted my own young and had no prospects in sight. But I would not let the happiness for my Sister and Qhuinn dull the joy of the season just because of envy.
Walking back over to them, I showed them my selections and we headed toward the check out.

Checked out we return to the mall and look around at the nearby shops.
"Ooooh clothes, let's go there. I want to get a new sweater."

*Qhuinn dutifully took it like a good male and watched the girls pick out sweaters and whatever else. He tried to say the colors were good, tried hard, but he ended up sitting on a bench just outside the store, sipping a Julius. The girls always in eye sight.*

Realizing that this really wasn't Qhuinn's cup of tea, unless he was shopping for himself, I smiled as he went to sit and wait for us to make our purchases. Layla and I shopped and shopped and came out with bags full of clothes and gifts for everyone in the entire family. Good thing we had Qhuinn to help with the bags.

After checking out at the various stores, Layla and I just piled all the bags with Qhuinn and left him on the bench as I wanted to get him something special. It wouldn't do for him to see what I wanted to get him ahead of time so this worked out perfectly.
Stepping into the jewelry store as our second to last stop, I picked out what I wanted and paid for it.
Back by Qhuinn, "we have one last store to go to and I think you'll like it. Victoria's Secret."
Whispering in his ear, "maybe I'll model some of this for you."

Really now?? *A grin lit his face.* Can't pass that up now can I? * He laughed and looped his free arm around her. He had to admit it wasn't so bad. But one thing was missing. The smell of Dunhill's. Blay was off with Saxton, the uppity bastard, this year. Qhuinn had Layla and Blay had HIM. His heart ached for a moment with the male, but he wouldn't let it show. No, not this time. He put on a happy show and followed the girls. Passing Zales next to the girlie shop, Qhuinn paused and patted Layla on the shoulder.* I will be right here girlies. Stay in sight, kay?

"We will, never fear, the last thing we want to do is get lost in the Big Apple Mall." Linking my arm with Layla's We entered Victoria's Secret and began pulling hangers down with bras, panties, camisoles, stockings, corsets and anything we could find with lace. These were presents for ourselves.

"We won't be very long Qhuinn and then we'll be done. I really appreciate you doing this for us." Kissing his cheek, I linked arms with Selena and we shopped and shopped and shopped. Most of my purchases were in pink as Selena's were in purple. And of course we couldn't pass up the red and black that looked so elegant.
Checking out with our bags filled we met Qhuinn back outside the store.
"I think that's everything, right Selena. We can go back home now and begin wrapping everything."

*Very carefully, as not to be seen, he picked the gift for all of the females and spotted the one for Layla. He stuffed his order receipt in his wallet and met the girls. Taking all of the bags, he smiled.* Lets go girlies. *Phury would be proud. Chosen safe and sound, full of presents and such, buckled into the car. He turned up the holiday music and sang along with Elvis, chuckling and grinning at the two.*

After placing all the bags in Qhuinn's car, we headed for home. Qhuinn really has a good voice and we joined in singing Christmas carols all the way home. Totally excited about all the purchases we made, we drove back to Caldwell with smiles on our faces.

Singing along with Qhuinn and Selena, I was secretly thinking about what I bought to show Qhuinn, I blushed as I reached for his hand. Squeezing it, I smiled over at him like the cat with the canary but i wasn't letting on what I was thinking.
"Again Qhuinn thank you for taking us to do this. Phury and Cormia would be very grateful as well."
