In the pitch blackness, she had no sense of time. Groaning she lifted her head from her arm to sit up. Hell that hurt. Voices from outside the room perked her ears. "... understand why. It's never happened before." one of the males said. "It would seem they are afraid of her,"another said with a distinct accent. Her head may have been splitting but part of her brain registered that that little tidbit had potential. She nearly laughed. She was starting to think like her hellren. And when dealing with his subjects that was distinctly a good thing. She heard the tumblers moving. Rolling up to her knees, she tucked her legs under her body and winced. Laying her hands along her thighs she bowed her head and let her eyes close. The position of the supplicant King would not be lost on them. Symphaths were about power and mind games not so much showy outward plays. Ehlena lived with the best of the best. She knew if she was going to survive and find a way out, she had to do it on their terms, play their mind games with them and find a way to check mate the bastards before they captured the board. Time to toughen up Buttercup. Attachments:

The door opened flooding the room with a shaft of dim light. Even behind her closed lids it still brought a haze of pain. There was a pause in the shuffling f__t as they got a full on gander at how she was sitting.
She lifted her head and pinned both of them with her toffee eyes.
One carried a plate of food, the other the length of chain.
She rallied her strength, rolling up to stand in a smooth push of muscle. Thank the Virgin for yoga classes.
"Yes?" she asked quietly. They looked at her then each other then back at her. She cocked a half smile. They had been expecting her to be frantic and half out of her mind.
Score one for the Queen.
The one with the chain unlocked the door reaching in to grasp her wrist. She went without a struggle, stepping to the floor. A scorpion shot out of the crack, scuttling across the floor to the side of her f__t. It was all she could do not to shudder. The black creature lifted its stinger, the barb already dripping poison when it stopped. Ehlena stared down at it. Go away please just go away she thought.
Her eyes widened as the arachnid backed up like it was having second thoughts and hightailed it back to its crack in the wall. That couldn't have been better if she could have actually controlled the creepy crawlies like her male could.
Lifting her gaze to the males she shrugged and held out her wrists.

The chains went on with a click as Thing 1 lead her down the hall to the small bathroom. She did her business as best she could with the chains attached but at least she could get more of the blood off her face from where the wound had seeped as she had rested. After washing her hands she opened the door to follow T1 back to her 5 star pimp suite.
Thing 2 was waiting with her food. At least she hoped it was food. I looked like food at any rate. The chains rattled as they hit the floor to be attached to a loop the size of her wrist secured in the wall. She sat down in the small chair as the food was left for her. T2 looked at her, folding his arms over his chest. "You will eat. You will not be allowed to starve yourself," he said as a brush of his mind settled over her. She began thinking of a wide sunny beach with palm trees and a hammock and a big pitcher of frozen margaritas causing her grid to go fuzzy. T2 arched a brow. "Interesting." he said as he watched her pull a bite of the oatmeal up to her lips.

She finished her small meal in silence. Pushing the plate away she looked up into T2's eyes.
" I wish to see your King," she stated.
"My King does not wish to see you at this time. If and when he chooses to grant you an audience, mores the pity for you, he will undoubtedly let us know."
Rising from the chair she met his gaze levelly. "Trust me sin eater, he will want to see me," she said.
"What makes you so sure about that female?"
"Let's just say that I am a person of extreme interest to your King," she said moving about the room stretching her cramped up body as memories assailed her. Trying to keep a lid on the emotions that this place brought she continued to stretch until her head began to swim. God she hated concussions she thought as her stomach rolled. Ehlena returned to the chair to damn near fall into it. "And trust me I seriously doubt your continued good health if you mistreat me. It's going to be bad enough when he finds me locked in here. Me looking like I've gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson is really gonna piss him off," she shrugged again. " But it's your funeral pyre." she commented and fell silent.

The male crossed the room to get into her face, his red eyes glowing. "You are lying."
Ehlena didn't flinch. "Are you willing to risk your life on that assumption?"
T2 snarled. "I am willing to risk your's" he hissed.
She smiled. "Then call him and let him make that decision. I'm not afraid of him. Never have been and won't start now. Can you say that?"
T2 snapped to his full height his face a mask of cool reserve. Oh yeah she'd touched a nerve.
He left her sitting in the chair as he stormed out of the room closing the door behind him and engaging the lock.
At least he had left her out of the box, she thought as she dropped her head forward to lay it on her folded arms.

She woke with a start her body jerking as she came awake. Ehlena winced as the aches and pains of the wreck amped up. Second and third days after were always the worst. Lovely. Slowly she stood bracing herself on the edge of the table until her equilibrium return. Glancing at the door she blinked. At least there weren't any visual disturbances due to the whack she took on her head.
The chain in the wall rattled as she moved to the center of the room and looked up. It was still there. The rigging that had held her Rehvenge up off the floor by his shoulders and the steel rod that had left scars on his body.
She could still hear her voice.. WE HAVE TO SAVE HIM! She had watched as his body shook and began to heave like an animal caught in a trap.
Carefully he had been lowered to the ground just in time to greet his brethren. Weakened and no doubt in shock he had still lit up that chamber like someone had shoved an amethyst spotlight in his head. She had watched as he had slammed into the mind grotesque walking corpse of the Princess. She didn't know what he had planted in her mind but what ever it was her look went from complete adoration to unhinged psychotic in a heart beat. She had turned headed for her when something happened. She knew it had been Rehvenge when she used the knife on herself then out of nowhere swarms of spiders and scorpions had covered her fallen body. The Princess never moved again.

The memory turned from the horror that they had found him in to the back of the Escalade on the way home. He had fed from her. He had wept as she had held him, trails of red on his tired drawn cheeks. And then, she smiled. He had let her touch him, explore his body until he had climaxed. She had touched the barb and watched him shudder and knew that beyond a shadow of a doubt she wanted him and wasn't going to changed a damn thing.

Making her way back to the chair she sat down again. Was it daylight or dark outside? Her thoughts began to quiet as exhaustion crept up her body. She was tired and sore and hungry and alone and about to cry. Hoping that the sin eaters were well away from her, she let a quiet sob escape her bruised and swollen mouth as tears coursed down her cheeks. "Please hurry nallum.. please hurry," she said as her body shut down on her leaving her sound asleep.
