Selena had decided that she'd go back to the Other Side once a week and continue her old practice of transcribing the scrolls of the Race. She waited for the shutters to raise for the evening. She couldn't go out in the sunlight, like everyone else, and she couldn't dematerialize from inside the Mansion.
Selena didn't want anyone to worry about her so while waiting, she sent a text to Tohr, Qhuinn, Layla and Jane. ~txt~ I'm going to the Other Side, will be back in 24 hours. If needed, text me and I'll come right back. ~send txt~
With that done, she dressed in her robes and went downstairs to wait. While waiting, Fritz found her at the bottom of the stairs and insisted she eat something before leaving. She had gotten use to the food on this side and decided the fare was much better than the all white foods on the Other Side. Fritz made her a turkey and cheese sandwich, chips, a Pepsi, blueberry muffins and coffee. She sat at the island in the kitchen on the stool as everything was placed before her. She ate everything presented to her.

After thanking Fritz, the shutters went up. Selena left through the front doors. She walked around to the garden patio, calmed herself and dematerialized to the Other Side. She always arrived in the courtyard by the fountain. She sat down on the fountain ledge and took in the beauty around her. The white tree in the far corners with the colorful songbirds that Vishous kept bringing to the Scribe Virgin was the only color in the courtyard. However, since the Primale, Phury had released the Chosen, there was color everywhere else. The grass that use to be white was now green. The robes of the Chosen, instead of being white, were now all the colors of the rainbow. The buildings however were all still white.
After a few minutes in the courtyard, Selena got up, already feeling the rejuvenating effects of just being there, she was feeling strong and rested enough that if she needed to feed several males back to back, she'd be fine.

Walking over to the Temple of Sequestered Scribes, the doors opened to an empty Temple. Where there used to be several Sisters inside, everything was now empty. She walked inside and looked at her previous desk. It was just as she left it. She went to the little window that connected the Temple to the Scribe Virgin's private quarters. The Directrix had left several scrolls in the window. She picked them all up and went to her desk.
Before beginning her transcription, she took a blank scroll, dipped her pen in the sanguine ink and began practicing writing in the Old Language. Going to where she lived now, she had learned the English language and how to write there. So each time she came back, she practiced writing in the Old Language before she started transcribing the scrolls.

Selena began opening scrolls and separating them. Some were ready to be cut and put into the volume of the Race's families. Some needed a few corrections and some needed to be totally transcribed onto new scrolls. Selena stacked them accordingly and got to work. To avoid the monotony of doing all the same things, she alternated between the different stacks.
She cut the scrolls that were ready and stacked the sheets together. Then she began working on the transcriptions. As she finished each one, she brought them back to the window for the Scribe Virgin to either make corrections or return for binding. As she finished all the transcriptions that were there for the time being, she got up and went to rest on her bed.

The bed here was flat with not coverings and no pillow. There was no need for any creature comforts here. It was always daylight and the temperature was always exactly the same. She did NOT miss that part. As much as she loved the Scribe Virgin and her role when she was there, she had been shown a completely different life and she liked it very much.
