When Selena woke several hours later, she stretched and yawned. She went to the window to check for new scrolls and it was empty. She smiled that she was all caught up and had fulfilled her task.
Picking up the pages that were ready to be placed in the volumes, she left the Temple of Sequestered Scribes and walked over to the Temple of Books. The Chosen who'd remained on the Other Side were headed to prayers as they quietly walked in pairs and threes past the temple. Selena smiled at a few of them she remembered.
Opening the doors, she entered her favorite of all places. Selena willed the candles to light, casting a yellow glow throughout the library. The shelves lined several aisles all through the library. Just about midway was an aisle that led to the area that was closed off from all the rest. It was an area where the volumes on all the members of the Brotherhood's Histories were kept. The huge double doors were painted red with the crest of the Brotherhood upon it and the daggers crossed with their hilts pointed down. Carrying the papers with her inside, she placed them on a table and began pulling down the correct volumes to add the papers, in there proper order. Each volume held the history of one members and then all their male sons and their pictures, a complete family tree and the stories of their exploits.
Selena went through the pages and began placing them into the correct volumes. When she was done with the Brotherhood, she took the pages of the other member of the Glymera and the Race outside to the general area and began pulling down the volumes that those pages belonged into. While she was there, Selena sat and read about some of the other families. She read through several of the families from cover to cover while she waited for the sun to go down. When it was just about time, Selena walked back to the courtyard, sat on the fountain and waited.
Selena watched the songbirds as she ran her hand through the water in the fountain, until the time came to dematerialize back to the Mansion. She arrived back on the patio and sat on the bench looking up at the stars....
