When Selena dematerialized back to this side she was on the patio in the garden on the side of the Mansion again. She looked around and marveled at all the different flowers Fritz had combined in the gardens. She sat on the bench and inhaled while she looked up at the sky. The moon was full and the stars were out. They looked much different here at the Mansion than they did when Qhuinn had taken her for a drive into the city. With all the lights in the city and the tall buildings, the stars seemed to disappear in the sky.
It was still very warm outside and Selena wanted to go swimming. She didn't have her suit on, so swimming in the outside pool was out of the question. Instead, she walked to the front of the Mansion and rang the bell as she stood in the entranceway waiting for someone to come to the door to let her in. It was Fritz of course. He bowed to her and she bowed back. "Thank you Fritz."
Selena left him as she crossed the mosaic of the apple tree on the floor. She ascended the Grand Staircase and walked down the hallway of statues to her room. She removed and hung up her robes an changed into a swimsuit that Beth had gotten for her. Grabbing a towel to wrap around herself, she went downstairs through the tunnel to the indoor swimming pool.
When she walked in, she was alone. She left the towel on the bench and dove into the water. The water was warm but not too warm. Selena began swimming laps back and forth the length of the pool. After 10 laps, she floated on the surface of water on her back, the ripples in the water gently kissing as they touched her.
After about 2 hours, Selena got out of the pool and reached for the towel to dry herself. Wrapping the towel around herself and tucking it at the top, she ran from the pool, back down the tunnel and up the stairs an then up the Grand Staircase back to her room, to change into regular clothes. She dried her hair an braided it, letting it fall down her back. She wanted to be ready on a moment's notice in case she was needed to feed one of the males.
Selena sent a text message to Tohr, Qhuinn and Layla to let them know she was back from the Other Side if needed.
